We are a heat transfer distributor and manufacturer's representative supplying shell and tube, plate, air cooled and specialty heat exchangers across the United States, Canada and Mexico. This site covers one part of that: U-tube shell and tube heat exchangers, from sanitary stock units through heavy industrial engineered builds.
Because we represent established manufacturers rather than building to a single house design, the recommendation can follow the duty. If your application is better served by a construction we would earn less on, that is still the recommendation you will get.
On this site the range runs from stock steam-to-liquid U-tube units and 3-A sanitary exchangers through pharmaceutical double-tubesheet designs to engineered industrial builds in carbon steel, stainless, duplex, titanium and copper-nickel, plus replacement U-tube bundles for shells already in service. Every unit is new equipment, rated for the duty you give us and built to the code the installation requires, whether that is ASME Section VIII, TEMA, 3-A or ASME BPE.
A U-tube exchanger is the right answer for a specific set of problems: a large temperature difference between the two fluids, steam or another condensing medium in the shell, or a bundle that has to come out for cleaning without disturbing the piping. Where those conditions are not present, a straight-tube or plate design may serve better, and we will say so.
How We Work
Most inquiries start with a duty rather than a part number. Send both fluids with flow rates, inlet and required outlet temperatures, operating pressures, the allowable pressure drop and any code or hygienic requirement, and we will rate it before quoting rather than after.
If you are replacing a failed unit, a photograph of the nameplate is often enough to identify it or to cross-reference a stock replacement the same day.
Quotes come back with the thermal rating, the materials and code basis, connection sizes and the lead time, so the comparison with the existing unit or the competing bid is made on the same numbers.
